I believe in the one and only God, the Father that is all-knowing and all-powerful, creator of heaven and earth, and everything you can think of.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ , the one and only divine Son of God, born of the Father before the commencement of time.
Jesus is God as God the Father is, Jesus is Light as God the Father is Light, and Jesus is the True God as God the Father is the True God. Jesus has always been here, he was not created, together as one with the father, through him all things were made.
For us men and women, to deliever us from our sins, he came fown from heaven, and with the works of the Holy Spirt, was conceived by the Virgin Mary and became man.
For our benefit he was crucified by Pontius Pilate, then nailed on the cross, buried in a tomb, and resurrected three days later, in accordance with the Scripture.
There was a man with two sons, both whom worked for him at his tech firm. One day the younger son prematurely said to his father “Father, give me the share of my inheritance today.” That very day the father split his estate and gave the younger son his share.
Not too long after that, the son packed his bags and headed to a foreign island in the Caribbean. There he wasted all the money his father had given him on partying, drugs, alcohol, and sex. After running out of money the country stopped receiving imports from other countries and he was stuck there in need. He then got up and got a job with a farmer feeding the barn animals working for little to no money. He got so desperate and hungry he contemplated eating the food he was feeding the animals. Then he finally realized that the janitors and mail men that work under his father live in better quality than he does and make 10 times the amount of money that he does feeding the animals. He told himself that he will ask for forgiveness to his father and beg to be a janitor at his company and work long grueling hours. The son then got the few belongs he had and set out to get back to his father’s office one way or another.
Once he finally was close to his father’s office, the father saw his son a couple blocks away and ran to him and greeted him with open arms and a kiss. The son said to his father, “Father, I am embarrassed the family name and threw away everything you worked for, I disrespected you and God, I am a terrible son.” But without hesitation, the father called his assistants and told them “Bring out my most luxurious suit and order the finest steaks, we are going to have a celebration, my son found himself and has return home!” In saying so the party had begun.
At the time in the janitor room, the older son overheard some of the music and asked one of his colleagues what was going on. His colleague said, “Your brother has returned, and your father ordered steaks to celebrate.” The older brother became furious and enraged and refused to partake in the celebration. His father saw him and asked him why he wouldn’t come inside. The older brother said “All of these years I always done what you’ve asked me to and always treated you and this family with respect. Not once have you given me a celebration like this with my own friends. Now when my younger brother comes home after spending all your money on partying and women you treat him like a king!” His father responded “Son, I view you as family not an employee and this company belongs to you as much as it does to me. Come celebrate, your brother lost himself and his relationship with his family and God, but now it is found and he is back!”
Throughout time and still to this day, true prophets are known are ones who speak truth to power. These special individuals serve as intermediaries for God and were not accepted by those who disagreed with them. True prophets often suffer persecution and speaks true about the future. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a prime example of a true prophet sent directly from God.
In Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 3rd, 1968, he talks to city sanitation workers on strike. His words came true almost instantly. In his speech he proclaims that he has been to the Promise and and “that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land”. Less than 24 hours after this speech, King was assassinated by James Earl Ray. He suffered the same fate as many true prophets do. When people hear the truth they do not want to agree with, they unfortunately turn to violence.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is almost the exact opposite of a false prophet. False prohets preach that everything in the world is going well, they are bad moral examples, and steal words from another. Dr. MLK Jr. was an amazing speaker who caught the attention of millions with his original inspiring speeches. Such as, “I Have a Dream”, “The Other America”, and “Our God is Marching On”. In all of these he speaks about the corruptness in America and the mistreatment of African-Americans. Dr. MLK Jr., was almost constantly a great example in which many people around the world looked up to.
Dr. Martin Luther King was most certainty a true prophet. He preached the true about the future, unfortunately suffered prosecution, and was most definitely sent by God. Dr. MLK Jr., was always a great moral example and always used original content. His legacy lives on today and will forever as one of the most recent true prophets.
